Abstract
What does 'abstract' mean?
I think abstract is where there is absurd patterns. It makes you think. Abstract is art and photography. It also makes you ask questions and abstract can be made with anything light, shadow, colours.
My Abstract Images
Dark Room Experiments
My images outside of school
I did these using newspaper. I put my image on powerpoint and put newspaper in the printer so when it printed my image it will be printed on the newspaper and it gives a nice look to it. Image 2 is a picture of my friend wearing my reflective jacket and the newspaper made it stand out because it had writing on it and it made it really stand out. I think what makes the image abstract is the text on the newspaper with the colour and the newspaper is also relevant to photography.
Abstract Homework
Akihiko Miyoshi
This Photographer/Artist has really got me thinking about his work. I think it's interesting because he's used colours that really go good together and also he's included himself in his pictures. He makes his photographs look abstract with many different ways. He uses a lot of colours and uses objects to make his work more abstract. I like this photographer because I really like what he has done with his work and its different to the other photographers. I mostly like this Image because he's used coloured tape and stuck it down on the mirror and even added himself in the image and the colours really made it stand out and the different lengths of the tape also made it abstract.
Rose Marcus
Rose Marcus is also an interesting Photographer because the colours she uses is really dark but thats what makes it more questioning why did she use dark colours? in every picture theres a person. Why did she add people in her images? The images also don't say much about them. She's captured the people and did a coloured or abstract background and I personally think her purpose is to show that these images are all about the people and the colours she's used. I think this image is interesting because you can't see much only the colour and the different shades of the colour.

Dafna Talmor Workshop
These are my constructed landscapes that I have made. We had to pick landscapes and make something out of them. With my one's I used more than two images and put them together I cut circles with some. I think I could have done them better and more interesting. We had a lot of options like colouring the landscapes, cutting them, putting tape around them. After we made the images we put them in the projector to see how they looked and also to check if we needed to improve on it. We also used two projectors and placed two images on top of each other with the projectors.
Photoshop
Before I photoshopped my images I didn't know what to do with them. I put them on photoshop and added images on top of each other. At first I didn't like the way the images turned out then I changed the contrast of the image. On some of these images I added more than three images on top of each other. Then I experimented more and made more of these images because they looked interesting. Im also planning to print these on tracing paper and place them on the window and take pictures of them. I will print out more than one and place them onto each other. Also with the light coming through the window the image will look more interesting, I will also take them into the dark room and experiment in there aswell.

Dafna Talmor Workshop
We had a workshop at school and a photographer (Dafna Talmor) came to our school to help us with photography and we made these slides. We got to pick any pictures and cut them up however we wanted to and do what ever we wanted and then place them into the cases so they can be slides and I made these one's. We got to use hole punch and pens we got to combine the images together and add inc onto the images.
Final Piece
My Final piece is images I have taken outside of school and I used photoshop to make them look different to the originals I printed them on tracing paper so I could place them on the window and get light through. I placed all the images at once then I started to add more and I took images of them so if I liked one I can just pick like that and also I so when I do pick one I can show how I came to that point and why I picked the one I would have picked. I did them all different to each other and I like how they turned out. My images are all buildings and in my class room I have a really big window with a building beside it and I thought it would look nice if I stuck them there and take pictures of them and it like it because it makes you think and really focus on the image.
